Program Description

Welcome to South Whidbey Preschool's Toddler Class! We are a local, family centered class. We focus on learning through nature and encourage a spirit of wonder and curiosity. Our mission: to foster a love of nature and to guide children toward healthy relationships with themselves and others.

Our approach centers on care and attention for every child's needs and interests. We have a small size which allows students to explore their focus areas, at their own pace.

Through structured and unstructured learning time, hands-on activities and plenty of imaginative play, our goal is to gain skills that ultimately help them with the basics of learning to read, write, build their math and science skills, and become successful, lifelong learners. We follow a mix of Montessori and Waldorf but we are not specific to just one learning style as we mainly follow each child's lead to help foster a love of learning.

Our classes spend a lot of time outside and our program has plenty of outdoor exploration in our "fairly forest" outdoor area next to our school.
