West Seattle, WA - Educator

Join an amazing team!

If you love working with children AND want to work from home, we'd love to talk with you!

We're WEEKDAYS and we're on a mission to help educators get paid fairly (with benefits!) and children the chance to have a caring, personalized learning experience.

We are looking for leads with experience either as a parent with your own children, within a preschool, or daycare setting. All you need is a passion for working with children, a focus on safety, and willingness for continuous learning. We'll help with everything else: an easy curriculum framework, supplies and toys, licensing, parent tours and enrollments, and an educator community with full support from our local Program Director.

Benefits:

  • Salary at least 20% higher than the average preschool teacher for the neighborhood
  • Medical and dental benefits,
  • Support to take vacation days,
  • Bonuses
  • Be a part of an incredible work culture that is changing the face of early childhood education

How it works:

WEEKDAYS classrooms are early childhood education programs for children 1-6 years old--all home based programs that are within neighborhoods. Once you pass our vetting process, you'll go through our two day training program and meet others in our educator community in the Seattle area. We'll help transform one room (a basement, a converted garage or 400-600 square feet of your home) into a magical classroom and play space. We'll work with you to set a start date and start parent tours and enrollments for your program and make sure the WEEKDAYS classroom you're leading is fully supported every step of the way.

Requirements:

  • You must love working with infants and preschool aged children (0-2, 2.5-5 years old)
  • Have experience teaching your own children or as a teacher/childcare provider.
  • Be able to communicate clearly with parents to build trust.
  • Be innovative, enthusiastic, and adaptable.
  • Have a minimum of 400 sq ft room you can dedicate to your classroom.
  • Have backyard access or in walking distance to a park.
