Part Time Education Director

We're WEEKDAYS and we are a small team of talented leaders in South Whidbey who found our calling working in early childhood education. We provide an exceptional experience for each child through smaller class sizes and fostering a love of our beautiful world.
We are looking for an Education Director to support teachers, parents, and the community at our Clinton school. This is a leadership role working with a team who absolutely loves working in early childhood education. This position will also have 25-30% classroom time, supporting our educator team.
This position
Lead the coordination and operations of our preschool in South Whidbey, helping with planning, strategy and ensuring our school far exceeds every safety and quality standard.
Support wild creativity in the classroom through a child-led, nature based focus.
Have a supportive customer service mindset as you’ll be the primary contact for enrolled families and potential families joining WEEKDAYS.
Provide educator support on-site for lunch and other times when needed to join the class.
Lead the relationship with our state licensor and stay on top of new training requirements and safety practices. Implement best practices and learnings from this program as we expand classrooms.
Work with our educators, founder, and community to hire new educators and team members.
Plan and execute fun family events with the help of a supportive team and volunteers.

Requirements

You must love working with infants and preschool aged children (0-2, 2.5-6 years old)

Have experience in early childhood education or at preschool (ready to jump in on a leadership role).

Be able to communicate clearly with parents, educators, and the community to build trust.

Be innovative, enthusiastic, and adaptable and have a growth mindset.

Able to lift 30 pounds, be able to sit for long periods when in class at Circle Time or during coordinated play.

Be invigorated by a changing environment. We are focused on continuous learning and growth.
Part time 15-20 hours per week with the option to increase hours over time.
Location Our little blue schoolhouse in Clinton.
Pay Range $20-27/hour depending on experience.
