Early Childhood Education Manager

We're WEEKDAYS and we're on a mission to help educators run wonderful micro-classes where and children the chance to have a caring, personalized learning experience.

We are looking for a part time Early Childhood Education Manager. This role will help refine our weekly themes and activities (laddering up to our curricula), be a main point of contact for our educators, interview potential educators, help with launching additional micro-class programs, and support the overall success of WEEKDAYS. We'll look to you as an expert on our team when it comes to our pedagogy and how it comes to life in the classes.

This position:

*Helping with planning, strategy and ensuring our programs are the highest quality and safety

*Refine our weekly themes and activities that all of our educators use as ideas on a weekly basis

*Support educator growth and training through coaching, trainings, and 1:1s Model teaching and early childhood education best practices

*Key communications contact for parents and staff

*Problem solver and ideator - identify areas of concern and for continuous improvement

*Support on-site observation of staff and children

*Implement best practices and learnings across programs and educators

*Other duties as assigned. We are a growing organization so there will be new opportunities to grow and launch additional programs.

*20-25% of time will be spent in our preschool classes, supporting our educators in the Seattle area.

Requirements:

*A love of working with children and supporting their growth and development

*Previous director or leadership position with an early childhood education program

*Have experience teaching as a teacher/childcare provider

*Even though we use the best of many pedagogies, we're looking for somebody with familiarity with the basic education curricula for early childhood education: Montessori, Waldorf, Reggio, and preferably also familiar with Second Step, Creative Curriculum, and similar curriculum elements

*Be able to communicate clearly with parents to build trust

*Be innovative, enthusiastic, and adaptable

*Be able to lift 30 pounds as the position often helping children
