Program Description

Starts early June and goes all summer. This program starts at four years old and goes through 8 years old.

This is a nature based learning program with all the basics-- from art, science, math and social emotional learning-- happening in our outdoor classroom. This program takes place in Schmitz Park and Alki Playfield in beautiful West Seattle and offers more than the traditional classroom with daily adventures.

The "home base" is a schoolhouse cottage two buildings away from Alki Elementary but the learning happens outside this summer. Students will spend time away from screens, building an appreciation for nature and exploration. Activities will include planting a garden, adventuring in Schmitz Park, exploring tide pools at low tide.

We help foster a sense of wonder through a personalized curriculum. Even though we have quite a few fun activities lined up, much of the areas of discovery will focus on the topics that are interesting to each child.
