My learning pod focus is to support K-2 students with their remote learning curriculum while providing supplemental materials & activities when needed to support students in reaching their academic goals.
LAUREN K’S LEARNING POD I am looking for a family that can host a pod of Kindergarteners through 2nd graders. I will support the kiddos with the remote district curriculum model. MY TEACHING PHILOSOPHY I have a passion for instilling in students a love of learning, and believe all students should feel capable and valued in a classroom and home remote learning setting! I want to support your early-learner in reaching their goals and continued growth academically and socially this school year, even with the current unprecedented circumstances. My learning pod’s structure, schedule, and activities will follow the remote learning curriculum and model that my students are a part of through their school district, along with their daily schedule, while also including additional supports and supplemental activities to meet students’ specific needs when possible throughout the day. I will work alongside students to make sure they accomplish daily and weekly goals set by their remote learning teachers, while also offering additional support and instruction when needed.
I am a certified elementary teacher from Everett, Washington! I graduated from Corban University (Salem, OR) in 2019 with a bachelors degree in Elementary Education and an ELL (English Language Learners) endorsement, after completing my student teaching in a 2nd grade and Kindergarten classroom. This last school year I worked full time as a certificated substitute teacher in Everett, Mukilteo, Shoreline, and Edmonds school districts in primary (K-2) classrooms, until schools shut down in mid-March. I have a passion for teaching and instilling in students a love for learning, and believe all students learn best in a safe, consistent environment where they feel capable and valued! I believe that early learning (K-2) is the foundation for moving forward successfully in a child’s educational future, and I want to help build that steady foundation for your primary aged child! I want to continue to support students’ needs during this time by starting my own learning pod to support students through their remote learning curriculum of their public district (Everett or Mukilteo).
I live in south Everett, and am willing to travel anywhere in Everett, Mukilteo, Mill Creek, Bothell, Edmonds, or Shoreline to form my pod of 6-8 kindergarten, 1st, or 2nd grade students!
