My goal is to help your child succeed with their online learning and supplement with fun activities!
Teaching Background: Hi! I am a Washington state certified elementary school teacher with 14 years of experience teaching Pre-Kindergarten through 5th grade. I also recently earned my Masters degree in Reading. I've taught in both public and private schools, and I've tutored individuals and groups of students.
Teaching Philosophy: My teaching philosophy is to help students engage and have fun in the learning process.
My Program: I would like to teach a pod of 4 elementary-age students (K-5) of the same grade. My goal is to provide these students with assistance completing their virtual school assignments, and to also provide supplemental lessons that interest them. I can use the school district's curriculum and the state standards to help them be successful in their learning.
Price: $300/week per student
I graduated from Western Washington University with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. I taught elementary school in the Everett School District for 2 years. Then I moved to Boise, Idaho and taught in the public schools there for 5 years. Then I returned to Washington and taught in private schools for 6 years. Since then I have taught 1 year of 3rd grade in the Edmonds School District and been a long-term sub in 5th grade in the Northshore School District. I recently finished my Masters in Reading program from Grand Canyon University. I am looking forward to teaching a small pod of students who are navigating the online learning from home.
